Do you need to relax? Practice self-care? Take yourself outside of the crazy world that we are experiencing? Yoga Nidra may be for you! No experience is necessary to practice Yoga Nidra. All you need is a space with minimal distractions and your earbuds. (This will be a Zoom Event)
The class will be facilitated by Shannon Brechtel. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditative experience which uses specific body, breath and awareness techniques to guide the practitioner into progressive states of relaxation. The techniques that are used have been shown to activate different areas in the brain and regulate the nervous system.
This is a self healing practice which requires no effort or doing, simply listening. Studies have shown that this is a very unique form of meditation, it is actually a state of conscious awareness while in a sleep-like state. This state of conscious awareness is the optimal environment for emotional and physical recovery. Anyone can experience the healing benefits of Yoga Nidra, previous yoga or meditation experience is not necessary.
Yoga Nidra can be practiced in a group or an individual session. Individual sessions are recommended for those who are interested in formulating their unique intention, shifting patterns and addressing specific needs.
